MPD had identified a Pepsi vending machine in the neighborhood that was
actually selling malt liquor instead of sodas. The price was $3, and no
one has claimed the machine. Who says community meetings are boring?
I believe the issue is that no one is actually regulating these vending machines. Certainly you need a vending license in order to place a vending machine like this anywhere. However, once that vending license expires I don't think anyone goes around to make sure the vending machine is removed. Also, would anyone really report this if they are enjoying the liquor? I mean come on, we all can't be saints.
